 | 23/10/2009 Hilson Moran is shortlisted for the UK-GBC sustainability awards Hilson Moran has been shortlisted for the Sustainable Consultant of the Year category of the forthcoming UK-GBC/Building magazine sustainability awards.

Hilson Moran’s Sustainability group provides advice to developers, architects and planning consultants to ensure that new developments meet and exceed planning requirements for sustainability. Its specialist consultants and unique Sustainable Built Environment Tool (SuBET) - developed in conjunction with sustainability experts from the University of Reading and University of Dundee - assist with a holistic approach to masterplanning, which includes everything from the preliminary appraisal of candidate development sites through to the production of environmental statements, energy strategies and sustainability appraisals to support development plans.
The Sustainability team brings together consultants from a diverse range of educational backgrounds and career paths. It comprises specialists with backgrounds in mechanical and electrical engineering, architecture, ecology, geology, environmental modelling and atmospheric sciences, offering clients a more holistic understanding of development opportunities and challenges by seeing a potential project from a number of different viewpoints. The interaction of these individuals at project level fosters a truly multidisciplinary approach to sustainability on both UK and international projects. |
