12/10/2009 Nigel Clark is to speak at the NCE Tall Buildings conference Hilson Moran Technical Director Nigel Clark will be giving a speech at the NCE Engineering Design for Tall Buildings conference to be held at the ICO Conference Centre in London on 25 November.
Nigel will be using landmark City of London development The Pinnacle as a case study to illustrate how tall buildings can be designed to be environmentally progressive and responsive to their environment, while still being commercially viable.
The Pinnacle, which is currently in construction, will be the centrepiece of the Eastern Cluster and, at 63 storeys, the tallest building in the City of London.
The talk will consider the impact of facades and how plant strategy and core design are fundamental to the success of commercial developments, as well as how these challenges have been translated into reality at The Pinnacle.
