Tameer Towers is a 980,000m² mixed-use development on Reem Island in the Shams District of Abu Dhabi. Expected to complete in 2011, the project encompasses a 73-storey commercial tower, four high-rise residential apartment blocks and a luxury hotel.
The commercial building, which is split near its base to straddle a canal running into the project's private marina, is set to become one of the tallest towers on the Abu Dhabi skyline and incorporates a 50m-high prismatic foyer atrium.
Hilson Moran is responsible for the building services on the project, including the design of the mechanical, electrical and environmental engineering services, intelligent building controls and integrated building systems, vertical transportation and acoustics. In addition, the practice is providing a LEED assessment on the project.
