For large and complex spaces it is important to examine thermal performance characteristics and hence determine occupant comfort levels under a range of conditions. |

Low energy environmental strategies can also be examined studying natural ventilation scenarios and observing performance indicators such as mean age of air to identify and design out areas of stagnation and to test various fit out scenarios. Typically the results from these studies are displayed using a range of colour graphical techniques depicting temperature, air speed and a range of alternative environmental comfort indices. |

These techniques can also be used to examine the environmental performance of spaces under a range of warming climate scenarios. These are examined by using modified localised weather data sets, which account for future predictions of summertime temperatures. |
